A former New Jersey Lawyer of the Year for Passaic County, Al Acquaviva has an extensive background in residential and commercial real estate law. He represents clients in land use and zoning cases, and meets the needs of public and private corporate boards. Al Acquaviva excels in chancery and civil litigation, as well as family law and personal injury matters. His knowledge extends to insurance defense and foreclosures related to REM taxes and condemnations.
Mr. Acquaviva earned his BA in political science at Seton Hall University magna cum laude. He went on to obtain his juris doctor at Quinnipiac University Law School in Connecticut. His background includes a role as municipal prosecutor focused on criminal cases. Known as an aggressive litigator, he is steadfast in support of clients as they work their way through the justice system.
Mr. Acquaviva maintains his law firm as a debt relief agency, and assists clients in filing for bankruptcy under applicable codes. A moderator in the continuing learning education (CLE) sphere, Al Acquaviva has taught on the topic of zoning law. Al Acquaviva is active with the New Jersey State Bar Association and the Passaic County Bar Association.
